Pictured: the Cable Car barn at Mason and Jackson Street, also known as the Cable Car Museum. Four, really long cables feed throughout the underbelly of downtown, thus forming the Powell-Hyde, California, and Powell-Mason lines. Moving at a constant speed of 9.5 mph, the entire system and operation... fascinate me.

Wow -- that's really cool!

I always have said that if I ever win the lottery, I'm going to drive the cable cars in SF. They are so cool and think of all the people you'd meet!

Allie: Isn't it? And they have computers to alert them of any problems, such as a snag in the line. Computers!!!

Kristbella: something tells me that you would make an excellent cable car operator. Live the dream!
