Matty and I attended an engagement party for one of his co-workers this past Saturday night up in North Beach. While we were standing in the kitchen, drinking, snacking, and chatting with some of his other co-workers, I glanced toward the fridge and noticed that "Matty" was spelled out in plastic alphabet magnets. Upon closer inspection, I also noticed that my name was spelled out too! The strange thing: this party was held at the home of the newly engaged couple's friends, people we've never met before. Not only that, but it's fairly uncharacteristic for Matty or I to mess around with refrigerator magnets belonging to complete strangers, so we left the party all: "how the... what the... weird... spooky..."

That's interesting . . .
I love those magnets.

I have your names in magnets on my fridge too, just in case. Is that weird?

Usually, when I have Convert-Your-Friends-of-Friends-to-Satanism parties, I spell out their names with fridge magnets. Really, it's Satan Worship 101.

Allie: Me too!
Ryan: You? Nah, not at all.
People: I had a dream that I was frantically trying to read the bible, and I felt really anxious after waking up because I wasn't able to finish it. I think you're right, darn Satan worshipers are messing with my head.
